Uttar Pradesh is a multi-hazard state, facing a diverse array of natural and human induced disasters.

The State is prone to flood, drought, lighting and thunderstorm, heat & cold waves, earthquakes, and snake bites. The recent Covid-19 taught us that we are always exposed to human induced disaster.
Organization is committed to save life of people at risk in all situations. During Covid-19, organization has done Covid awareness campaign by engaging with public health system and volunteers. Massive Covid vaccination campaigns were done in difficult to reach areas of Mirzapur. Vaccination camps were organized with health department and field level workers (Anganwadi, ASHA and ANMs).
Some of our actions on ground are as below:
At the district level, the Fire Department, Education Department, and District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) were engaged on the issue of school-level safety through joint coordination among the three departments.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, 562 community health awareness programs were conducted across 70 villages in the Hallia and Lalganj regions. These programs aimed to educate the community on hygienic practices, the nature and transmission of the COVID-19 virus, the importance of immunization, and the need for physical distancing to prevent the spread of the virus.
In 42 schools, School Management Committees (SMCs) were trained on School Disaster Management Planning, and mock drills on fire safety were conducted. School Disaster Management Plans were developed in all schools.
